How do I book a tour?

You can book directly through our website using our secure booking platform. Once you select your tour and dates, you’ll be guided through checkout and payment to confirm your reservation.

What is the deposit and payment schedule?

A 10% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 45 days before the tour start date.

Are payments refundable?

All payments are non-refundable, including the deposit, unless Discovery & Heritage Tours cancels the tour. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance to protect your investment.

What is included in the tour price?

The tour price includes airport transfers, accommodations as outlined in your itinerary, daily breakfast, a professional tour guide and driver, transportation for scheduled tour activities, and entrance fees to tour sites.

What is NOT included in the tour price?

The tour price does not include international airfare to and from Ghana, visa fees, required vaccinations, travel insurance, lunches and dinners unless specifically stated, personal expenses, gratuities, or optional activities.

What happens if weather or unforeseen events affect the tour?

Our tours involve travel activities that may be impacted by weather conditions or events beyond our control. In such cases, Discovery & Heritage Tours reserves the right to modify itineraries or provide suitable alternatives to ensure guest safety and the best possible experience.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes. Travel insurance is strongly recommended and should cover trip cancellation, medical emergencies, weather disruptions, and travel interruptions.

Are international travelers accepted?

Yes. We welcome travelers from the U.S. and internationally. Guests are responsible for meeting all passport, visa, vaccination, and entry requirements for Ghana.

Is airfare included?

No. International airfare is not included in the tour price. Guests must book their own flights.

What is the single occupancy / single supplement policy?

If you request single occupancy accommodations, a single supplement fee will apply. Pricing varies by tour and will be disclosed at booking.

Can Discovery & Heritage Tours cancel a tour?

Yes. In rare circumstances, we may cancel a tour due to unforeseen events or insufficient participation. If we cancel, eligible payments will be refunded in accordance with our Terms & Conditions.
