Effective Date: January 1, 2026
By booking a trip with Discovery & Heritage Tours (“D&H,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to these Booking Terms & Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and any trip-specific information provided to you prior to confirmation.
These Terms apply to all travelers listed on a booking.
The person making the booking (“Primary Traveler”) must be 18 years or older and is responsible for all travelers on the reservation. A booking is confirmed only after written confirmation is issued by Discovery & Heritage Tours. Please review your confirmation carefully and notify us immediately of any errors.
A non-refundable deposit of 10% is required to reserve your space on a trip. The remaining balance is due 45 days before the trip start date, as stated on your invoice or confirmation.
If full payment is not received by the final payment deadline, Discovery & Heritage Tours may treat the booking as canceled by you. In such cases, no refunds will be issued and your reservation may be released.
All payments made to Discovery & Heritage Tours are non-refundable, including deposits and final payments, except if Discovery & Heritage Tours cancels the trip.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations due to personal reasons, medical issues, missed flights, documentation problems, scheduling conflicts, or any other reason.
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip cancellation and interruption coverage.
If Discovery & Heritage Tours cancels a trip, you will receive a refund of the amounts you paid directly to Discovery & Heritage Tours.
Discovery & Heritage Tours is not responsible for costs incurred independently, including airfare purchased separately, passports, visas, vaccinations, travel insurance, lodging booked independently, ground transportation, or lost wages.
Trip prices and descriptions are subject to correction prior to confirmation. If a pricing error occurs, you may choose to pay the corrected price or cancel for a refund of amounts paid to Discovery & Heritage Tours.
Travelers are responsible for ensuring they meet all passport, visa, vaccination, and entry requirements for their destination(s), including transit locations.
A passport valid for at least six months beyond the return date and containing at least two blank pages is recommended.
Discovery & Heritage Tours is not responsible for denied boarding or entry due to documentation issues. Any fines, penalties, or costs charged to Discovery & Heritage Tours as a result must be reimbursed by the traveler.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended and should include medical coverage, emergency evacuation, and trip cancellation/interruption.
Travelers are responsible for evaluating their own health, fitness, and ability to participate in the trip and for complying with health and safety instructions.
Requests for changes after confirmation (including dates, traveler names, room type, or itinerary adjustments) are not guaranteed and may incur administrative fees, supplier penalties, or price differences.
All approved changes remain subject to the no-refund policy.
Trips may offer single or double occupancy accommodations. Single-occupancy upgrades or supplements will be disclosed at booking.
If double occupancy is selected and no roommate is available, a single-occupancy supplement may apply.
Activities, excursions, or services not expressly included in your confirmed itinerary are provided by independent third parties and are not part of your contract with Discovery & Heritage Tours, even if we provide information or assistance.
All travelers are expected to behave respectfully and follow local laws and group guidelines.
Discovery & Heritage Tours reserves the right to remove any traveler from a trip without refund if their behavior is unsafe, disruptive, or damaging to people or property.
Any issues during the trip must be reported immediately to your guide, host, or local representative so we can attempt to resolve the matter.
If unresolved, written notice must be provided to Discovery & Heritage Tours within 28 days of return, including your booking reference and full details.
Discovery & Heritage Tours sells a travel product that may be affected by events beyond our reasonable control (“Force Majeure”), including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, acts of God, government actions, public health events, civil unrest, labor disruptions, or transportation interruptions.
In such circumstances, Discovery & Heritage Tours reserves the right to modify itineraries, adjust schedules, substitute accommodations, alter transportation methods, or provide comparable alternative activities when reasonably necessary to ensure traveler safety and the continued operation of the trip.
These changes do not constitute a cancellation of the trip and do not entitle travelers to refunds. Discovery & Heritage Tours will make reasonable efforts to preserve the overall value and experience of the trip when adjustments are required.
To the extent permitted by law, Discovery & Heritage Tours is not liable for delays, injuries, losses, damages, or expenses caused by:
– Traveler actions or omissions
– Third parties not under our control
– Events beyond our reasonable control
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you consent to jurisdiction and venue in those courts.
